Paris

Paris is a separate department (75) and at the same time is a capital city of Ile-de-France region and the biggest aglomeration in France.

There are over 2 mln people in Paris and in the whole aglomeration – over 11 mln. Paris is divided into 20 districts.

Paris is the greatest attraction for tourists. It is said that Paris is the city of love. A tuneful language, romantic caffees and mysterious allees attract lovers. It is a wonderful city, also because of the fact that it is a capital of fashion, culture and art, with the Eiffel Tower dominating the city. Furthermore, it has a range variety of historical monuments and tourist attractions which can charm anyone.

No matter how many days one devotes to tour of Paris, it will still be too few. Enumerating interesting places would take a lot of time. A tourist has to limit himself.

The most important place is, of course, the world-famous Eiffel Tower, Notre-Damme chappel, the Louvre, the Arch of Triumph, Elysium, Sacre-Coeur basilica and Moulin Rouge near Pigal. It is also worth to take a tour by ‘bateau-mouche’ on Seine River, see the Pere-Lachaise cemetary or visit d’Orsay museum. Paris is visited by millions of tourists from all over the world each and every year.
